Senior Cardiologist, Echocardiography Unit and Valvular Heart Disease Clinic at Rabin Medical Center

I am a 50 year old senior cardiologist at the Rabin Medical Center, where I currently work full time as an attending in the Echocardiography Lab and Valve Clinic and engage in related clinical research. After having finished my cardiology residency in Israel 12 years ago, I completed a Heart Failure Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN through the generous support of a donator to the Israeli Cardiology Society for a dedicated grant for this purpose, and subsequently I went on and did also a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Cardiac Echocardiography at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston MA.

During my fellowship at Mayo Clinic I had the great honor and opportunity of learning from the best clinicians and researchers, and I remain deeply inspired by the Mayo Clinic spirit which is best captured in Dr. William Mayo's famous quotation "The best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered, and in order that the sick may have the benefit of advancing knowledge, union of forces is necessary". I do my best since to follow this motto, and I am deeply grateful for the exceptional training I received at Mayo Clinic which had a tremendous impact on my professional development and helped me reach the goal of integrating clinical excellence with research to the ultimate benefit of my patients.

Based on my own fantastic experience at Mayo Clinic, I strongly recommend continuation of the wonderful project of young Israeli cardiologists training at this world-class institution.
